We hope this will be an in person event, but it may end up online. Please register so we know of your interest and can keep in touch.
Join the community for an online Zen sesshin (formal retreat) from 7am to 5 pm on Saturday, November 6. Guiding Teacher Nomon Tim Burnett will give a Dharma talk on the precepts. Dokusan (private interviews) available with Nomon Tim Burnett and Shudo Chris Burkhart. Heigaku Talus Latona will be available for Practice Discussion.
In the afternoon we will have a Jukai ceremony. Jukai, receiving the precepts, is a ceremonial commitment to the Zen precepts, the Zen path, and the sangha. For lay students, it marks a deeper commitment to Zen and a warming of relationship with the teachers. Often jukai students invite friends and family to the ceremony.
Donations to the teachers are invited.
7 am - 5 pm Sesshin silent meditation retreat, done this year online. Breaks for meals which will be oryoki if we meet in person.

Registration is required for the sesshin (7am-5pm) or the jukai ceremony (3pm-5pm). It is very important that you sign up as we hope to do this event in person if possible and need an accurate count. More details will be sent later.
