Join us for a thorough and supportive training in how to serve on the Doan-ryo: the group which rings the bells, hits the drum, and leads the chants at our regular services and special ceremonies. Learn how to be the:

Doan - bell ringer

Kokyo - chant leader

Tenken - time keeper

Jisha - priest's attendant

Performing the ceremonial positions is a core part of Zen training. Challenging and rewarding.

Four training meetings: you are welcome to attend 1 or more - just come as you can.  Sundays at 12:30pm on March 29, April 5, April 12, and April 19.

Interested in training but can't attend at this time? Please let Ino Mari Ritalahti Sullivan know at mtritalahti@gmail.com - trainings are also organized by request!
