Join the sangha in "closing the eyes of the Buddha" and carrying our main altar to storage.
For those unable to attend we'll do our best to broadcast on Zoom using the usual link of https://zoom.us/j/5601791305 (if you have not joined us before you must request the passcode ahead, just email email@example.com)
Together we'll say goodbye to the space that has been the sangha's home in Bellingham for 13 years.
We'll leave much as we arrived when we carried the altar to the Forest Street zendo from our previous home in the Masonic Lodge on State Street.
The closing ceremony (sorry only a few of us can be inside for this part but the doors will be open to listen) will begin at 5pm on Saturday September 19th.
Please wait distanced on the sidewalk in front of the building.
Note that members are warmly invited to visit the Dharma Hall individually in September to say their own goodbyes before we close up shop.
We're moving our practice all online and our material goods into storage. Over the next year or so we hope to gather our resources and look towards purchasing a building to be the long term home for Zen practice in Bellingham. Look forward to information about the discernment process and the capital campaign and in the meantime please join us online for practice. Even over Zoom the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha come through. See the weekly practice page for regular events and the events page for upcoming study groups, practice sessions, classes, and retreats - all held online.
All events use the same Zoom link but you must contact us to request the passcode if you do not have it yet. https://zoom.us/j/5601791305
