An opportunity to help our friends at Samish Island Campground where we hold our residential sesshin in June.
The Shuso's class is meeting this morning from 10am to Noon. Perhaps a group of us can grab a quick snack and head down to Samish right after.
Please use the RSVP feature if you can go so we can give John a heads up.
On February 17 we will be holding a work day to clean all cabins, restrooms, kitchen and Dining hall for our first event which begins the following week. When the facility starts at a high level of tidiness it is easier for us to keep it well maintained the rest of the season. I am requesting help for this one day event. If you are able to send a few to help with the work please let me know how many will be coming. Lunch is provided.
Also we will have our annual Work Week April 30-May 6. During this week we need painters, carpenters, fence builders and landscape folks for mowing, trimming, painting cabins, and we will be trimming out classrooms and building a fence to keep the little ones contained around the nursery. There is something for everyone to do at this event. If you come and spend a day or two you have lodging and meals provided.
Last year we had excellent help from our friends and we look forward to renewing acquaintances and friendships.
I hope you all are well and I look forward to seeing you in the coming season.
Humbly, I am your servant,
John G VanDerWalker II, Manager
