Red Cedar Zen Community, 1021 N Forest, Bellingham Washington

Become a Member

For more than 30 years, Red Cedar Zen has offered a Soto Zen practice community in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, author of Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind. Most of our activities and events are open to everyone; you do not need to be a member in order to participate. However, we also invite you to join us as a formal member of our community. To become a member, simply make a commitment to support the community in any of the following ways:

  1. Sit with us: Sitting Zazen is at the heart of everything we do at Red Cedar Zen, and there is no more important way you can contribute to our work than sitting with us.
  2. Volunteer with us: Red Cedar Zen’s activities are almost entirely established and maintained by volunteers; please consider contributing by volunteering your time and talent. See the Volunteering page for specific opportunities.
  3. Support us financially: As a non-profit organization with no outside funding source, we rely on a broad base of support to cover our operating expenses. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and your donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Please join us

When you feel like you are committed to supporting the community in any one or all three of the ways mentioned above, please select your preferred membership level from the list below, then click "Next" to proceed with setting up your membership.
