Join the community for an online Zen sesshin (formal retreat) from 7am to 4pm on Saturday, October 31st. Dharma talk on the precepts and dokusan (private interviews) available with Guiding Teacher Nomon Tim Burnett.
The Zen ceremony of jukai (literally "receiving precepts") is a ceremony of commitment to the Zen precepts, the Zen path, and the sangha. Done by lay students it marks a deepening of commitment to Zen and a warming of relationship with the teacher. This year due to Covid and other circumstances the sangha is invited to join us for a one-day sesshin online without a jukai.
Event will be online in our virtual zendo at https://zoom.us/j/5601791305 (email firstname.lastname@example.org to request the password).
Donations to the teacher are invited.
7am - 4pm - Sesshin - silent meditation retreat, done this year online. Breaks for meals. Full schedule available here.
Please join us in the celebration of ethical practice and community. Registration is required for this event.
